NOHP Puducherry - Foundations of a Healthy Smile: Pediatric Oral Screening and Hygiene Mastery at Thirukkanur

An oral health awareness session was conducted for PKG, LKG, and UKG students of Brainy Blooms School, Thirukkanur , on 9th October 2026 by Mobile Dental team.  The program aimed to instill good oral hygiene practices at an early age. Brushing techniques were demonstrated using child-friendly dental models, helping students understand the correct method in an interactive manner. Simple instructions on maintaining healthy teeth and avoiding sugary foods were also explained. In addition, oral screening was carried out to identify any early dental issues among the children. Teachers were also guided on reinforcing these habits. Overall, around 250 students benefited from this informative and preventive health program.
