NOHP Puducherry - Voices Against Tobacco: Oral Cancer Screening and Awareness Slogan Contest at Vivekananda College

12/11/25 - Mobile Dental unit visited Vivekananda college of education  - ECR ,Lawspet, Puducherry

*The session aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of tobacco and its impact on health and society.

*The session also focused to create awareness among young people about the dangers of smoking and the use of other tobacco products.

*Students ( B.Ed - 1st and 2nd year )were informed about the serious health risks such as cancer, lung diseases, and heart problems caused by tobacco consumption.

*Oral cancer screening done for the students and the faculties.

*Anti - tobacco pledge taken by the students and the faculties.

*Clearly explained about Tobacco Cessation Centres and their activities.

*Slogan competition conducted  as a part of activities to create awareness among the students regarding tobacco and oral health.
Nearly 150  benefitted.
