Objective:

The “Happy Smiles Dental Camp” was organized to provide free oral health check-ups, dental awareness, and basic treatment services to the children and staff of Government Primary School No. 1 in Khanpur. The aim was to promote preventive dental care and spread awareness about oral hygiene practices among school-aged children in underserved areas.

Activities Conducted:

• Oral Health Screenings:
  Comprehensive dental check-ups were conducted for all students by trained dental professionals and student volunteers.
• Oral Hygiene Education:
  Interactive oral health awareness sessions were held to educate children on proper brushing techniques, importance of oral hygiene, and effects of sugar on teeth.
• Distribution of Hygiene Kits:
  Each child received a dental hygiene kit including a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a flyer with oral care tips in Urdu for better understanding.
• Referral for Advanced Care:
  Children requiring further dental treatment were identified and referred to nearby dental clinics or hospitals with follow-up guidance.

Impact:

• Over 250 children benefited from free dental check-ups and awareness sessions.
• The initiative successfully instilled basic oral hygiene practices and highlighted the importance of regular dental visits.
• A sense of empathy, teamwork, and community service was fostered among the volunteers.
