The Guiyang Stomatological Hospital has been dedicated to the promotion of oral health in Guiyang City and has continued to carry out effective oral health education and health interventions in Kaiyang County Ethnic Schools over the past few years.
On March 19, 2025, Guiyang Stomatological Hospital organized a vibrant oral health education initiative titled "Healthy Smiles Begin with Teeth" at Kaiyang County Ethnic School. Led by a delegation of Party members and officials, including Chen Liming (Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Oral Disease Prevention and Control Center), Ma Lixia (Director of the Medical Affairs Department), Yu Xiaoyan (Director of the Periodontics Department), and Dai Taiming (Director of the Department of Oral Prevention), the event aimed to raise children’s awareness of oral hygiene and address poor dental habits.
The activity featured speeches by Chen Liming and school leaders, including Principal Wang Chaozheng and Vice Principal Song Yongjun, who emphasized the importance of oral health and encouraged students to adopt life long healthy practices. The lively atmosphere highlighted interactive engagement, with experts demonstrating proper brushing techniques and addressing common dental issues. Attendees praised the initiative’s alignment with public health goals, underscoring its role in fostering preventive care and improving children’s well-being.
This collaborative effort between medical professionals and educators exemplifies community-driven health education, combining authoritative knowledge with practical guidance to empower students in maintaining healthy smiles.
After an intense competition, the winners were selected: two first-place awards, four second-place awards, six third-place awards, and eight excellence awards. Leaders from Guiyang Stomatological Hospital and Kaiyang County Ethnic School presented certificates and prizes to the winners and took commemorative photos together.
