"Hope & Hygiene: Supporting Displaced Children and Caregivers in Gaza" Awareness Sessions, Personal Care Supplies, and Healthy Meals Amid Crisis

On March 19, a humanitarian outreach activity titled "Hope & Hygiene: Supporting Displaced Children and Caregivers in Gaza" was carried out in Deir al-Balah, Gaza Strip, under the leadership of Dr. Moin Barghouth, with the support and supervision of Dr. Ilham Al-Khatib, and in collaboration with the Dental Student Union at Al-Quds University – Abu Dis.

This initiative took place in displacement camps within the city of Deir al-Balah, amidst the ongoing humanitarian crisis. The activity aimed to provide psychosocial support, health education, and essential resources to displaced children and their caregivers.

Key components of the event included:

Interactive awareness sessions focusing on personal hygiene, mental well-being, and child protection.

Distribution of hygiene kits containing essential personal care items.

Healthy meal packages tailored for children’s nutritional needs.

Engaging games and activities to uplift children’s spirits and create a safe, joyful space.

This initiative reflects a deep commitment to community health, resilience, and solidarity with Gaza’s most vulnerable populations during these difficult times.
