NOHP Puducherry - Awareness lecture on importance of Oral Health at an aspirational district of Puducherry

On the occasion of World Oral Health Day (10th March 2025), an Oral Health Education Camp was conducted at Nethaji Subash Chandra Bose Government ITI College, Yanam. The camp aimed at promoting awareness about oral hygiene and its importance in maintaining overall health.

Program Highlights:

• Brushing Techniques Demonstration:
Brushing techniques were demonstrated using models to help students understand the correct methods for maintaining oral hygiene.

• Health Talk:
A comprehensive talk was delivered on:
• Proper oral hygiene instructions
• The harmful effects of tobacco on health and its social impact

Participation and Impact:
• Beneficiaries: Over 150 students actively participated and benefited from the camp.
• Staff Involved: A team of 8 staff members facilitated the smooth execution of the program.

The program successfully enhanced awareness about oral health and the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. The students showed great interest in learning about the adverse effects of tobacco and the benefits of adopting healthy oral care habits.
