NOHP Puducherry- Oral health awareness and pledge taken by Physiotherapy Students @ CHC Karikalampakkam

On account of WOHD celebration , Oral health awareness talk was given to physiotherapy students & Oral health pledge was  taken.

Physiotherapists often work with individuals who have chronic conditions or mobility issues, where oral health can be significantly affected. By committing to oral health, physiotherapy students can advocate for the prevention of oral diseases, such as gum disease, which can exacerbate existing conditions and lead to more complex health problems.

They also work with people across various age groups, including elderly patients who might struggle with maintaining good oral hygiene. If physiotherapy students take an oral health pledge, they can play an important role in educating patients about the connection between oral health and overall physical health, including its effects on conditions like arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and ddiabetes.

Nearly 30 students benifitted from this event.
