OHP Puducherry - Oral health awareness program and Silambam class conducted at Therar Sathyamoorthy Govt Higher secondary school - Murungapakkam

An Oral Health Awareness Program was successfully conducted at *Theerar Sathyamoorthy Government Higher Secondary School,* Murungapakkam, on 19-01-2026, with the objective of promoting good oral hygiene practices and educating students on the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and gums. The program included an interactive awareness session on oral hygiene, highlighting proper brushing techniques, prevention of dental caries, and the significance of regular dental check-ups. Students were encouraged to adopt healthy oral habits from an early age through engaging and participatory learning activities.
As a special feature of the event, a *Silambam* training program was organized for girl students by *Marudhu Sagotharargal Silambaata Kuzhu,* Ariyankuppam, along with *Mrs. L. S. Manimozhi* , Public Health Nursing Officer, MDU. This initiative aimed to promote physical fitness, self-discipline, and cultural engagement among students. The combined activities made the program lively and impactful. Overall, the event was well received, and nearly _179_ students benefited from the program.
