As part of the World Oral Health Day 2026 campaign in Kosovo, community-based activities were also organized in educational institutions to promote oral health awareness among children.
At the Primary School “Hasan Prishtina” in Prishtina, an awareness session was held with the participation of students, dental professionals, and institutional representatives. The event was honored by the presence of the Minister of Health, Mr. Arben Vitia, highlighting the importance of oral health as a public health priority.
In addition, symbolic and awareness-raising activities were organized, including the formation of a tooth-shaped figure near the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (QKUK) by staff and students, under the slogan: “Healthy teeth, healthy mouth, happy life.”
Through the “Smile Frame” initiative, participants shared positive messages promoting oral health care, prevention, and regular dental check-ups. These activities aimed to engage the wider community, especially children and young people, in a creative and interactive way.
The overall objective of these initiatives was to encourage continuous oral health care, raise awareness about the prevention of oral diseases, and emphasize the importance of regular dental visits as part of overall health and well-being.
