Discussing the importance of preserving oral health
On World Oral Health Day, various institutions within Croatia came together to organize a roundtable discussion on the importance of oral health and the challenges in its faced in promoting it and preserving it. The event aimed to shed light on this year’s campaign, "Be proud of your mouth for a lifetime of smiles" campaign and was attended by experts and representatives from different institutions sharing a common goal: optimizing oral health for all.
Improving healthy behaviors among students
During the roundtable discussion, data from international research showed that Croatia ranked slightly below average among the 45 countries taken into account for ‘brushing their teeth twice or more a day’. The data highlights the need for greater efforts to encourage the adoption of healthy oral health habits that should be preserved throughout life. It further highlights the importance of prevention within the healthcare reform.
