World Oral Health Day Campaign

Campaign

The Affiliated Stomatological Hospital of Kunming Medical University, China actively responded to the call from the F.D.I World Dental Federation and Chinese Stomatological Association for the World Oral Health Day campaign. On this day, we conducted oral health promotion activities alongside several key projects, including The National Children Comprehensive Oral Diseases Intervention Project, The Western Region Disabled Children Oral Disease Prevention Project, The Zero Cavity Kindergarten Project, The Adolescent Oral Disease and Mental Health Survey, and The Targeted Assistance and Support project. These initiatives were led by the Department of Preventive Dentistry and co-organized by eight clinical departments and six outpatient departments from our hospital. A total of 147 participants, including 25 experts, dental nurses, and students, took part in the event. We organized 17 oral health promotion activities, held either onsite or online, which included five free consultation services, eleven health education sessions, and one live broadcast program. Additionally, outreach services were provided to one community, one enterprise, one welfare home, and night schools in the border areas of Yunnan Province. The campaign benefited over 20,000 people across different age groups, providing free medical treatment and fluoride applications for more than 1,000 individuals, and distribution of thousands of oral health education materials.
