In celebration of World Oral Health Day, the Standing Committee on Voluntary Works under PADS organized a Debate Competition on 23rd March 2025, bringing together dental students from across the country for a thought-provoking and intellectually engaging experience. The event aimed to raise awareness about oral health issues while promoting critical thinking and public speaking skills among dental students.

The competition featured 3 teams, each consisting of 3 members. In Round 1, all teams competed head-to-head, showcasing their knowledge, confidence, and debating prowess. Based on their performance, the top 2 teams progressed to the final round, where they battled for the championship title.

The debate was judged by two esteemed professionals from distinguished dental institutions of Pakistan, whose expert insights and fair judgment added great value to the event.

After an intense and lively debate session lasting around 3 hours, the champion team emerged victorious and was awarded scrubs sponsored by Dr. Stitches along with winning certificates. Additionally, certificates of participation were awarded to all participants in recognition of their commendable efforts and enthusiasm.

The event was a resounding success, filled with insightful arguments, healthy competition, and high spirits. It provided a meaningful platform for students to voice their perspectives on important oral health issues and underscored the significance of oral hygiene in public health discourse.
