World Oral HealthDay Challenge

Campaign

A nationwide Campaign emphasizing the theme “Happy mouth is a Happy body” was launched on the 5th of March, The campaign had a challenge for everyone. There was a story writing and colouring competition for those aged 12 and below. A challenge to either create a 1 min video of how to look after your teeth and gums or creating an inspirational WOHD poster with this year’s theme. NZDA members were given the challenge of spreading the theme by either decorating their practise or through an oral health education community visit. The final challenge was for all age groups to use the "Brush and Boogie “filter and create video and tag us on the social media’s pages. The campaign was promoted via emails and through social media posts, these were boosted to cater for a larger audience. In total we had more than 5000 interactions through our Facebook campaign
